夢幻堡壘. 酒莊(更新 april 04)

出發前我們先預定參觀五大酒莊,  五大酒莊只招待業內人事,

路人甲乙丙, 就不必浪費人家的寶貴時間吧 !

參考了不少資料後,  我們找到了今次這個是夢幻堡壘, 

先前見到的葡萄園莊, 大多是十八、＋九世紀的大宅,  沒尖頂,
今次這個是夢幻堡壘, 差點以為去Loire Valley,  酒莊??
來到葡萄園莊眼前一亮的堡壘, 簡直是夢幻堡壘化身,
雖沒五大酒莊的名氣,  很多愛酒人士也愛品試這酒莊的出品,

近年出品爬升回十八世紀原有名氣, 與姊妹酒莊 Pichon lalande 並齊,

夢幻堡壘叫 Pichon Longueville (Baron)!

由GPS 帶路到 Pauillac, 經過延綿延不盡的葡萄園, 看守葡萄園的塔,
由於鄰近Gironde 河口, 陽光普照, 氣候溫暖潮濕, 特別適宜葡萄生長,

這一帶土壤結構是礫石 Gravel,是出產尚好釀酒葡的搖籃, 

前方有兩個圓錐形尖頂, 大屋前是噴水池, 噴水池下正是地下酒窖,
池水另一作用是冷卻地下溫度, 絕對不整色整水,

underground cellar, located just right under the fountain.

The fountain helps to maintain the underground temperature.

右邊是全新釀酒房,

   酒莊主人花了大筆資金投資, 一心一意再重建 1970 年聲, 

不單把原有設備更新, 全個釀酒窖重建, 出品得以提升!



 
葡萄園主要栽種三種葡萄 ;

 Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, cabernet Franc,

其中Cabernet Sauvignon佔 62 %, Merlot佔35 %,

這家酒莊酒窖約有三數千酒桶

先來2005 Les Tourelles de Longueville,

果香味濃, 丹寧味輕bright and sweet red fruit character,

因為62 % Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon 只佔 10 % , 適合女士飲呢 !



2004 Château Longueville,

酒体豐富多彩, 色澤bright , 果味香濃, 丹寧味雖重, 但結構完整,

well composed tanin,  full complexity, nose  full of spice and fruit.

葡萄酒中的单宁一般是由葡萄籽、皮及梗浸泡发酵而来，

或者是因为存于橡木桶内而萃取橡木内的单宁而来。

How good was 2009 to Bordeaux? A number of vintners say that their wines are already so fantastic that they are enjoying them straight from the vat. Some are heralding the vintage as their best ever.

"I have never seen anything like it in my career," said Christian Moueix, whose family owns or manages some of the most prestigious wineries on Bordeaux's Right Bank, including Pétrus, La Fleur-Pétrus and Trotanoy. Moueix has been making wine in Pomerol and St.-Emilion since 1971.

Thomas Dô-Chi-Nam, the winemaker of Pauillac's Pichon-Lalande, who started making wine at the second-growth in 1992, echoed that. "It is my best harvest ever," he said.

The year started with unseasonably wet weather for most of winter and spring. Some areas, particularly Right Bank appellations such as Pomerol and St.-Emilion, as well as Margaux, were hard hit by hail in the spring. Yet the weather during the summer was impeccably warm, dry and sunny.
