全球有50多種吞拿魚,但以藍鰭吞拿魚為極品,有「吞拿魚王」之稱的「藍鰭吞拿魚」,出產自地中海,藍鰭吞拿成熟後會游到地中海一帶產卵,近年在摩洛哥及西班牙對出海域,捕獲的10歲以上成年魚數量大減,意味下一代數量亦會下降,買少見少,終有一天沒有吞拿魚吃。
近年有鑑於出口往日本可以收獲豐厚利潤,有過度濫捕吞拿,捕魚量超正常3倍,由於需求殷切,漁民不斷大規模捕殺,藍鰭吞拿愈來愈少,價格不斷茘升。然而,天然資源有限,濫捕最終會令藍鰭吞拿步向絕種。
國際大西洋鮪類資源保育委員會(ICCAT)的報告估計,目前海中bluefin吞拿魚的藍鰭吞拿幼魚數量只及70年代的48%,預料未來四五年顯著下降,若不採取更多保育措施,只靠目前國際間的減捕協議,藍鰭吞拿將會絕種。
委員會認為,目前捕捉藍鰭吞拿的數量,較正常的高出3倍,若情持續,藍鰭吞拿整體數量會不斷減少。委員會成員來自45個國家,日本是其中之一。該會於06年達成協議,去年起逐步減少捕捉地中海的藍鰭吞拿至3.2萬公噸,到2010年減至2.55萬公噸不過,報告指出,目前的措施已不足以令藍鰭吞拿回復原來數量,除非實施更進取的措施,例如提高捕捉最小體型藍鰭吞拿的限制、延長並增加禁捕區的時間及面積等。
去年九月歐盟七國實行休魚期,地中海七國包括塞浦路斯、希臘、馬爾他、葡萄牙、西班牙、意大利、法國一至暫停捕取藍鰭吞拿魚,希望這措施可暖和,讓藍鰭吞拿魚可自由成長。
不過這兩星期地中海捕魚業因燃料價格飆漲引發的漁船抗議行動恐將席捲全歐,在短短6個月內,法國的漁船用柴油,就從每公升歐元45分(21.7台幣),飆漲到70分(33.7台幣),上星期已沒有新鮮魚吃了,只有 fish farm 的 魚。

地中海燒吞拿魚Grilled Tuna fish with tomato
吞拿魚Tuna steak 150 g each 2 pc
黑橄欖Olive oil 90 ml
Lemon juice 30 ml
蒜頭Garlic 2 segment
Thym 5 ml
Filet of Anchovies (salted) 4 pcs
蕃茄Tomato (roma) 225 g
Parsley 30 ml
黑橄欖Black olive 4- 6 pcs
Salt 7 pepper
Bread
1. put the steaks in a flat Cermaic plate . mixed lemon juice & olive oil, garlic, tyhm, anchovies and pepper. Leave it for marinating at leat 1 hour.
2. remove the steak from the marinates and put it in a grilled. Grilled each side for about 4 mins and springle with the marinate from time to time..
3. Heat up a pan on the stove at the same time , and fried the cut tomato on each side about 2mins.
4. put the tomato on two plates and springle with olive oil.
put the rest of the marinates in the pan and cook for a few minutes. Serve togther when the tuna is cooked.
I like Tuna, especially in sashimi !

I like the Tuna to be a bit raw, but it needs to be very fresh!
