見到排得一行行的雪櫃, 比法國的要長要整齊, 一整行麵食, 一整行菜蔬, ..
美國真不槐是文化大溶爐, 亞洲食品在南加州更垂手可得
物資豐富其它國家沒法比, 入口嚴謹, 仍有本地製高質素食品,
在韓國人與越南人當道的加州，總有一間半間韓國超市在附近,
亞洲超市大得像法國這兒的 hypermarcher, 日本, 韓國各自有一整排到街尾物資,
這麼樣完完全全讓你自以為到了日本, 韓國的, 真的是第一遭,
令在住歐洲的我十分羨慕, 選擇性比香港的還要多,
因為多了台灣與韓國貨, 完全不用理會祖國貨, 第一次見新鮮懷汕, 山藥,
去亞洲超市見到內裡的綠葉蔬菜仲多過百佳廣場, 兩眼立即發亮,
每天可吃不同菜種, 單說豆腐的種類兩隻手也不夠用, 不同軟硬度,
有Organic ,有做湯, 有蒸, 這兒的豆腐有豆味又香又滑, 菜有菜味,
還有豆腐干,芽菜兩三款 , 荳苗, 菜心白菜, 就是蔥也有五種,
我地一起吃平日我們各自沒機會吃的苦瓜, 好久不見的冬爪, 蜜汁豆,
新鮮'淮'汕呀!! 海鮮在越南, 台灣 Ranch 99 ,更有游水海鮮, 魚, 蝦!!
鬼佬超市也出品豆腐
早上吃早餐後一起送小朋友上學, 到公園晨運, 不停交流,細說當年與今日,
一起去買餸, 吃午餐, 上館子, 就是不用出國也可以吃到各國不同的風味料理，
台灣拉麵, 日本壽司, 拉麵, 韓國燒, 越南春卷,牛肉河粉, 港式點心, 燒味,
而且最令人讚賞的就是價格便宜公道，我要住上一個月才可賞盡美食,
唔單止,這次去美國有點似返外家, 家姐天天四去餸一湯,想吃只管開聲,
苦瓜, 雞翼,中式遠菜, 一間冇貨家姐會跑幾間超市去搵,
連姨甥也問媽媽形術點解要整咁多dishes., 不增磅回來才怪
美國真的什麼也大, 果汁, 牛奶, 水, 通通 16 oz, 乳酪,250 g
芝士, Dips, .搵唔到一公升汽水, 煮 pasta 的香草蕃茄醬也是Jumbo size,
也有些2 lit ,我地法國人燙衣用的 demineralized water 才是 2 lit.
怪不知美國廚房要咁大!!
呢個係 open house 的新屋示範單位, 兩層高獨立屋連 車房,
典形美國式夢幻廚房, + pantry, 屋內又光猛, 空間多, 樓上三房,
另一兩層高獨立屋, 樓上四房+ 洗衣房, 成間雜誌映果種夢幻廚房,
中間個加大碼Island 設有酒雪櫃 wine cellar, 屋內又光猛, 空間多,
當今到美國(加州), 根本已不用吃漢保飽,
就是不用出國也可以吃到各國不同的風味料理，台灣拉麵,日本壽司, 拉麵,
韓國燒, 越南春卷,牛肉河粉, 港式點心, 燒味, 應有盡有呀!
不知是否响歐洲住得耐, 我覺歐洲通脹高好多,去到其他國家會覺得乜都好平......
其實美國這幾年經濟衰退, 房地產泡沫效應, 美國比起歐洲就好平,
二個人普通食碟炒粉, 加碟炒菜麵, 才二十幾蚊, 買餸食飯貴左多,
回到法國第二天 , 到超市購物，在超市走了幾圈, 突然又覺得咩都貴咗,
買二塊豬扒, 4.5歐 ,超貴, 拿起立刻掉下, 嚇鬼死, 個多月前才要2.5 歐,
南加州普通食碗粉麵, 加個油菜, 再飲杯凍奶茶, 12- 15 USd
龍蝦伊 麵特價Lobster E fu Noodles 9 USD ,
三個人碟炒二碟粉麵飯, 碟 , 加碟炒菜, 再飲杯凍紅豆冰, 才四十幾蚊!
姨甥女不停話我要多住上一個月才可賞盡美食, 怪不得同鄉話我必增磅回來,
這幾星期姨生女的好介紹排山倒海, 周未到日本餐廳吃 sushi, 拉麵
日,港,越, 式, 日台式麵包, 只要吃不開刀房屋貸款得下!
嘩!! 你家姐間屋,廚房真係一流!!靚爆!! 一應俱全!!

it is in 2 levels, about 660, 000 USD +, this is the smallest one of the new development in surburb of LA. the neighbouring are quite closed together. The layout is not bad, clear and bright but the garden is very small. As I remember it is a 3 bed room house, 2 toilets, plus a garage and a laundary room.
The older property has a bigger garden and lawn in front of the house.
660, 000 USD can buy a 557" whampoa 2-room apartment !!

We were talking about the quality of life is much better in LA than in Hong Kong, apart from the education system. Why to take the hassle of working all day long and live in a 500 sq apart instead of a big house 1000 sq +.
More than agree !!! I always talk to my hubby about this. However his job must be resided in HK... wonder we can only emigrate when he retire !!
回覆刪除[版主回覆05/18/2011 00:21:00]Bear in mind that, we are talking about the 5th best city in US!! If you consider in another smaller town or cities or district outside LA, the cost of a house is even lower.
Not only cheaper than in HK, it is even cheaper than France. Food cost raised 20 % since may, where at least 30 - 40 % cheaper in LA. With the among of what we bought for an apartment, we can live in a house in LA.

在美國逛超市真係賞心樂事，尤其係 Walmart 等大型超市，又多貨又闊落，ｄ野又平，可以行一兩個鐘。香港的超市又多人，ｄ貨永遠要一堆堆擺係通道，窄到剛剛好行一架手推車，完全唔enjoy去囉。

這個是我杯茶!!! 我同老公都好鐘意美國的customer service和shopping choices （真係要咩有咩！），不過又要我由頭適應過就怕怕啦。所以短住最適合我啦。講到文代大熔爐，NEw York City是No.1 啊!

唔好俾超市個門面呃左，佢地後邊個貨倉好細個，幾乎變成門面等如貨倉。當然佢地個超市真係好大，特別係個停車場，冇咁大個停車場有客都冇生意做。

真係乜都大過人。但間屋咁大時，做家務都一頭煙。學我朋友話，抺完前面，有時間抺後面時，前面已經又污糟，所以每日都好忙咁做家務。

We visited LA last year too. But both my husband and i think that France is the best place to live. LA is very dry in the summer, all grass died ...Besides, in America, there are only shopping malls and cinemas. In France, it is more about nature. You live in Cote D'Azur, so you know! How would you choose?

I has not been raining for a couple of monhs and we are alking about saving waer. In California , there are longer and more beautiful beaches than those in France, a lot of National Parks towards inland.

回覆刪除Yes supermarkets in US are huge, but do look at some local produce where you may find heirloom tomatoes and organic food!!

My sister told me that her town has just been developed 30 years ago and it was a rather young neighbour hood. It is a good timing to make an investment now especailly if you have young kids who can enjoy the benefits and education system.
Korean and Taiwanese Stores are blooming in the past 15 years which made their lifes much more esier than the time when your sister arrived. the organic avocado taste good too,
London都有一個韓國人區, 成個社區都以韓國人, 韓國餐廳及商店為主, 仲有間韓國超市, 裡面除咗有韓國食品外, 仲有好多港貨..我以前都成日幫襯!
